Although unsung torch singer Joyce Bryant a.k.a The Black Marilyn Monroe, made her mark in the 40’s and 50’s, she truly is a woman of our times. The now times, that is. Sure, today we have Beyoncé representing talent, sex, voice, etc., but one listen to Miss Bryant, and you’ll discover something extra. You get the feeling she could do it all; opera, Broadway, jazz, soul and pop. A renaissance woman if there ever was one. - Jonathan
